Graduate Program in Environment and Society
Three objectives are to be achieved in the academic formation of the Doctoral Program in Environment and Society. First, ways and means must be provided for experts from different disciplines can establish dialogue. Second, a theoretical and methodological basis that enables interdisciplinary exercise in the context of environmental issues and their respective derivations within the framework of conservation and the various dimensions of sustainability must be provided. Thirdly, we intend to support theoretical and methodological students who can work with specific issues that address the particular requirements of alternative sustainability searches. In this sense, the student must attend three compulsory subjects: Social Theory and Environment, Ecological Theory and Thesis Seminar. In addition, the student must enroll in two elective courses suggested by the Guidance offered by the program.
